About this event
Amsterdam Light Festival returns for its 15th edition from Thursday 26 November 2026 to Sunday 17 January 2027.
The seasonal outdoor festival places around 20 curated light artworks in Amsterdam's city centre and canals. You can explore them on foot along a 4.5 km walking route, in full or in sections, or book a canal cruise, which takes about 75 minutes.
The lights are on every day from 16:30 to 23:00, except on 31 December when the festival closes at 21:00. The festival app with the walking route becomes available in mid-November, and cruise departure times and tickets are in the festival's ticket shop.
